She/Her/Hers

Nikki Hutchinson is a Residence Hall Director in Bear Creek. One of her favorite aspects of the Hall Director role, in addition to the eclectic job responsibilities, is supporting her students, both residents and student staff. As someone who experienced her academic journey as a first-generation college student, Nikki understands the importance of mentorship, community-building, and inclusivity. She strives to build strong relationships and provide an inclusive community that has access to resources.

Originally from Connecticut, Nikki earned her B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Wellness and her M.S. in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. Nikki also earned her M.S. in Counselor Education with a Specialization in Student Development in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University.

 

In her spare time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her dog, Luna, an Australian Shepherd Mix, with a ton of energy. Nikki enjoys listening to music, reading books, journal writing, midnight drives and going to the movies! Her top love languages are quality time and words of affirmation, and her top 5 strengths are empathy, adaptability, individualization, harmony, and input. Nikki values vulnerability, consistency, creativity, humor, and spontaneity.
