Fellowships
The Program in Jewish Studies and the University of Colorado’s Libraries Rare and Distinctive Collections annually support a visiting scholarÌýwhose research interests take advantage of the unique resources in theÌýInnovations in Jewish Life Collections.ÌýThis $1,500 fellowship opportunity is open toÌýfaculty and doctoral students, who have advanced to candidacy.ÌýApplicationÌýdetails can be found on the Program in Jewish Studies website .
This fellowship is made possibleÌýby theÌý, which supportsÌýtheÌýinitiativeÌýto make CUÌýBoulder a center for the study of American Judaism after the Holocaust.
The Program in Jewish Studies and the Department of History annually support CU Boulder graduate students from relevant disciplines (History and Jewish Studies)Ìýto work in the Innovations in Jewish Life Collections.ÌýThe Fellowship is $4,000 and requires 130 hours of work over the summer.ÌýFellowsÌýwork with librarians and archivists on projects such as researching, designing, and curating exhibits, digital humanities initiatives, and other programs based on archival materials.ÌýFellows will also have the opportunity to conduct original research drawing on archival materials.ÌýApplication details can be found on the Program in Jewish Studies website .
Innovations in Jewish Life Collections Undergraduate Scholarship
The Program in Jewish Studies and the University Libraries Rare and Distinctive Collections host a competition for theÌýInnovations in Jewish Life Undergraduate Scholarship, which provides aÌý$1,000 undergraduate scholarship for the Spring semester. The scholarship requires 60 hours of research over the Spring semester (or approximately 4 hours per week to be allocated however works best around the student’s and the supervisor’s schedule) in theÌýInnovations in Jewish LifeÌýCollections.ÌýApplication details can be found on the Program in Jewish Studies website here.
Innovations in Jewish Life Collections Graduate Research Fellowship
The Program in Jewish Studies and University Libraries’ Rare and Distinctive CollectionsÌýhost aÌýcompetition for theÌýInnovationsn in Jewish LifeÌýCollections Graduate Research Fellowship, which provides a $2,000, semester-longÌýfellowship to a CU Boulder graduate student.ÌýThe Fellowship requires 65 hours of research in the IJL Collections overÌýthe spring semester, during which the Fellow will work with librarians and archivists to produce an original research paper or project using one or more of the collections.
